Horticulture Secretary Sourabh Garg mentioned that landless farmers will get loans through JLGs, acting as a form of financial support.

  • About 70,000 groups will receive farm loans, with each group comprising five landless farmers eligible for a maximum loan of Rs 1.60 lakh.
  • Agricultural experts will implement the program at the field level. There are approximately 7000 branches of various banks and PACS in rural and semi-urban areas.
  • Through this scheme, real on-the-ground agricultural activities will receive a credit flow of around Rs. 1040 crores.
