To enhance the illumination around the lake, four tall towers have been set up. There are three floating fountains, two in vibrant colors, each standing at 15 feet, and one towering white fountain reaching 100 feet in height.
As part of the second beautification phase, interlocking paving stones have been laid on the road leading from Hanuman Mandir to Futala Lake, addressing parking issues around the well-known Hanuman temple and enhancing the overall area. Approximately 1300 meters of new road have been constructed for this purpose.
This lake, originally constructed by the Bhonsle kings of Nagpur, is famed for its lively fountains. It features a delightful beach on one side and is embraced by woodland on three sides.
Futala Lake’s main attractions include its vibrant fountains and mesmerizing halogen lighting, creating a splendid spectacle at night. With lush greenery, carriage rides, nearby eateries, and ample open spaces, it’s a perfect spot to unwind.
Starting August 15, the lake will host an incredible fountain show with seating for 4,000 people on its grounds. The newly constructed lake parking can accommodate 11,000 vehicles, and an 11-story food court is in the works. A significant investment of nearly INR 30 crore has been made in constructing these new sections for the fountain display.
