The JKCA Talent Hunt is one such opportunity for budding cricketers to kickstart their careers in the sport. Organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, it aims to identify and nurture promising talent from the regions of Jammu and Kashmir, as well as Ladakh.
The talent hunt trials are open to boys and girls across various age groups, including under 14, under 15, under 16, and under 19. Additionally, there will be a U-23 category for both men and women.
Last year, approximately 8,000 cricketers participated in the Talent Hub, with 650 of them selected to bolster the JKCA teams at higher levels of competition.
The association has now released instructions for registering for the JKCA Talent Hub 2024, and the schedule for this year’s event will be announced soon.
Players interested in taking part in this year’s Talent Hub trials are urged to register with the JKCA before 10th March 2024.
JKCA Talent Hub 2024 Trial Eligibility Criteria
To join the upcoming JKCA Talent Hub, players must meet specific requirements. Here are the eligibility criteria:
- Players must hail from Jammu & Kashmir or Ladakh; participants from other states are not eligible for the JKCA Talent Hub.
- The trial is open to boys under 14, girls under 15, boys under 16, and both boys and girls under 19.
- Players who participated in the 2023 Talent Hub need not reapply for this year’s event.
